BURAN
I started building a 1/72 kit of the Soviet Buran space shuttle produced by Russian-based Amodel. The kit features a firberglass main fuselage and assorted plastic components, including a crude cockpit. The landing gears are also supplied, as are representations of the four jet engines that were once going to be installed in operational shuttles. I will omit these, I think, though I may change my mind down the line. My objective at the moment is to make a reproduction of the Buran shuttle as it appeared after completing its first and last flight in 1988.
