USS TRANQUILLITY (NCC-2140)
I've been working on and off with the Polar Lights 1/350 scale USS Enterprise, though I intend to make this into my own ship. It has a few light circuits, but one of the features was damaged during the build (strobe lights). The garden was fun to put together. I ultimately replaced the benches with photoetched units designed for a 1/350 Titanic model. In any case, the model is ready to be painted, having been primed with Tamiya Primer.
The Tranquillity, which will be a hospital ship, is named after a US Navy hospital ship that served in WWII, rather than Tranquility Base on the Moon (spelled with one "l"). I like the idea of building a model of a ship of rescue, rather than a ship of war. In addition, it presents an interesting aesthetic option for the ship's livery.
