Test shots

It looks like I’m in the final stretch and all is well. Paint has been applied in many layers to provide sufficient detail to impart a sense of scale. The model is almost entirely covered in metallic shades, with various non-metallic accents. Masks have largely been removed and lighting tests conducted, with some light leakage detected in areas that can be fixed fairly easily. So far, I’m very pleased with the results.

Next up is installing the deflector dish, going around the model and cleaning up overspray, fixing messy paint work, and, of course, applying decals.

I intend to mount this on a wooden base with a brass post, so I need to start tracking those elements down…
