The hangar is busy
A lot of activity lately on the 1/32 Corsair and 1/32 Bf-109.
For the Bf-109, the main thing is to prep for painting the insignia and stencils using 1ManArmy’s excellent stencil set. Then, once that loveliness is completed, covering up much of the topside with randomly applied white paint to simulate the distemper applied for winter camouflage. I intend to distress this a good bit (the stuff didn’t adhere very well and would chip and flake off easily).
The Corsair is still in assembly phase and so far things are going pretty well. The kit goes together smoothly. Current focus is installation of the wings. Once I get that done, painting will proceed and should be a lot easier than the camo for the Bf-109 since the Corsair is a very boring shade of Navy blue.
Pressing on!
