This is a 1/32 model from Tamiya of a P-51K called “Mrs. Bonnie, ” the plane flown by pilot Lt. Col Bill Dunham (specifically P-51K 44-12017 of 348th Fighter Group). The model was a joy to build, everything fitting in excellent fashion. This was also my first airplane model, all previous subjects being space-related. For the most part, I built this straight out of the box, but I did add substantial detail to the engine and gear bays.
